Ankle sprains may be common, but they pose more severe complications if not treated promptly and appropriately. Dr. Ong offers prompt, effective and personalised solutions to ankle injuries.
Book AppointmentAnkle ligament tear, commonly known as an ankle sprain, is a rupture of the ankle ligaments, causing swelling and pain. It is one of the most common conditions treated by a foot and ankle specialist.
A physical examination will be conducted to test your ankle’s range of motion and stability via several simple motion exercises.
Further imaging tests such as an x-ray, MRI scan or ultrasound may be performed to rule out other possible causes of pain (such as a bone fracture) and evaluate the extent of ligament damage to confirm the diagnosis.
